question about landline phone

My broadband is ok, but landline phone isnt working, its dead, no dialling tone. I presume it cant be the line as bb is ok, can someone confirm that please?

Remove all the broadband filters from all your sockets and then try connecting the phone into the socket directly and without a filter to see if any change.All your base are belong to us.0

You have a problem with the line, only one leg of the incoming pair of wires is used for broadband but the phone needs both legs.0

Checked everything its not the phone as the phone works at neighbours house. Its the line its dead. Have asked bt to test the line.:footie:0
