My comp will not let me have cookies

I appoligise if what I am about to write doesnt make much sence. Im not very computer minded. Im an ebayer and all of a sudden im not allowed to sign into my ebay as my browser is rejecting cookies. I have not asked it to. Im on Aol9 and have there standard freebie protections on my computer including spywhere. I really need to enable to these cookies so I can gain access to my Ebay. Can anyone please give me a very simple instructions on how to do it. Ive tried Aol help but it keeps asking what explorers do I have and I havent a clue
