Morning all
Hester sorry work is not good at the moment as others have said we all know someone like that. We had a woman who used to go "clubbing" every Thursday night and then wondered why she was no good for work on a Friday. She believed the rest of us should carry her needless to say she no longer works for us. Hope you man age a better nights sleep tonight
Lovely sunny day here, I'm off until Friday and celebrating a birthday with a zero in it.
:o Have been receiving texts since midnight. DH has just taken his DB for a hospital appointment, he is taking me out tonight but hasn't said where.
I have only opened one card and pressies so far from one of my BF up North will open the rest when DH is back
:D
Need to move myself still sorting the house from DGBs visit how do they manage to hide things in the smallest of places
((((((Hugs)))))) to those who need them and hope all have a good day

Newroadahead hope you have a great birthday honey and get thoroughly spoiled

judi the new little ones look gorgeous
I have got a small line of washing blowing away at the moment and the sun is out and shining so won't be long before its dry.
'pottering' day today.
I have my best friend coming down from Dartford to see me for the day tomorrow and I may make a lemon meringue pie for pudding ,lunch will be chicken salad I think as I have all the makings of it in the fridge.
I have been sorting out the food cupboards and decide to put some of the tins on the side to make sure that I to use them up a bit more. I seem to have far too much stuff stored away 'just in case', so I am doing my utmost to reduce the food mountain in my cupboards for the next few weeks.
No shopping to buy at all for this week at least.
Hope you all have a good day what ever you are doing
Cheers chums

Happy Birthday to newroadahead. :bdaycake:
Had a quiet morning and loaded dishwasher, sorted out the clean laundry and tidied the airing cupboard then had a nice shower and washed my hair in the new ginger shampoo I bought yesterday.
Got the new details from the estate agent for our house and wondering if it is worth paying for private professional photos but can't face the upheaval etc.
Made dd cheese, bacon and tomato toastie for lunch and I had an open sandwich. She has found a recipe for pork with cider, apples and onions she wants to cook so I will pop out for ingredients later.
DD has sorted out a large bin bag full of stuff for charity shop so might walk down with it shortly.
Older DD is coming down on Monday evening as she has a meeting nearby and we are going shopping for a posh outfit for her as she has a couple of weddings to attend in the next month or so. Youngest is still looking for a dress for her graduation in July (unless things change) and I have ordered a couple of nice summer dresses in the sales so fingers crossed.

That'll be exactly it; he'll be fine once he realises his humans are back where they're meant to be, and staying there.:DMy new routine is working quite well. Things are taking a bit longer than I thought, Scampi is a bit clingy at the moment and he's slowing me down
I expect it's because we've been away, he'll probably settle down in the next few days.
I got a call yesterday - the Princesses (Patsy & Pandy) are coming to stay for 2 nights in July.:T I can't have them for their whole holiday because I already have two Westies booked in, so they're going to "M", another host. However "M" can only take them from 22nd, and their holiday starts on 20th, so they'll come to me til 22nd then go on to "M", as Corrie & Fingal aren't coming til 25th.
It's all a tad complicated - poor old franchisee is having to play "bookings Tetris".:D
Even the dog coming this week, Patch, is coming just for the end of her holiday; she's "M"'s regular guest, but "M" is going away for the weekend, so Patch is coming to me from Friday to Monday.:o
Sympathy for those with the dreaded hay fever; I used to suffer 'orribly with it. Luckily I don't seem to have been too bad since we started buying honey at the farmers Market - I'm assuming the frequent very low dose of local pollen must help somehow.

Buying local honey was actually an alternative treatment suggested for hay fever so you are quite right!
Had to laugh wryly just now. I staggered down the road lugging a huge bin bag and carrier bag of books to take to the charity shop, then empty handed went to supermarket for ingredients for tonight's dish chosen specially for DD to cook. Bear in mind she had asked me to teach her now she was home for a while and we had agreed that when she was free we would have a cooking session and she would give me advance notice otherwise I would just use things up I already had.
Lugged stuff and called to her that we needed to start cooking soon only to be told her friends were coming round
On the bright side I did get YS sea bass, pork chops, lamb mince and chicken breasts which have all gone in the freezer and this way I can experiment alone on the new recipe and muddle through.

Afternoon all
Back from food bank feeling cream crackered. It's the only day I have a professional head on these days although I'm only a volunteer. I am on the reception side and see every client when they first arrive! Not a good night's sleep last night as we had changed to a lightweight duvet and I like a bit of weight on the covers. Out to a meeting later sigh.....
Hope everyone suffering from hay fever feels better soon. Even I have had the odd sneeze and I don't suffer.
Have read the thread but not retained much. Lame Wolf enjoy your doggy guests.
HH hope things get better quickly with both yours and DH's jobs.
Happy Birthday newroadahead.
Well hugs and spoons to all and have a good evening.

Hello all,
Been reading most days but not got round to posting. What a lovely day it's been. Got lots of washing done including four pillows
Had some sad news about a family member being diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I don't know the full story yet, I will speak to her later in the week. I believe they have caught it early, which is good.
Judi the babies look gorgeous
I'm going to send you a PM too.
HH - Hope your DH finds something soon.
Enjoy your evening all
