Hi all,
Recently my landlord issued a section 21 to leave the property.
We received many threats during the course of the notice and one day after the notice expired he forced entry and changed locks.
We contacted the police. Landlord is now lying that we left voluntarily and locks were never changed.
On this basis the council has deemed us as intentionally homeless since no formal eviction note (trough the courts) was issued and we left when we could have stayed. We were placed on a B&B for the time being.
Currently we are having quite some trouble finding advice on how to get a property. Shared properties don't normally accept children/couples and agencies require a total income of 2.5x the rental value before accepting to rent. The council says they cant help those classed as intentionally homeless and even if they would we could be placed anywhere on the country(?).
I'm wondering if I could get some advice on how to best deal with this matter...
Regards
