I came home today to find a final warning from a bailiff company and a sticker on one of my vehicles stating that they would seize it if all unpaid parking fines were not resolved immediately.. Now this is the first I have heard of it and haven't received any communication prior from either a court or the bailiff company. After a brief discussion the parking fines are associated to a vehicle I have never owned in a place I have never visited but they are refusing to believe my side of the story and are adamant that they want the money paid or they will take either my vehicle or possessions within my property. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as I'm a little bemused about the whole situation! Is this legal?

You're not in the best place here as we deal with private parking tickets up to the point of appeal.
You will be best served in dealing with bailiffs by making contact with 'Bailiff Advice Online'. Sheila, who provides this service, has an extremely good reputation for assisting people with bailiff issues.
It is a 'paid for' service (£10 I think), but very effective.

HTHPlease note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Next time they pay you a visit or get in contact, do let them know that your claim for damages will be substantial.0

have you tried contacting the council that issued the fines on the first place? From the Plain Language Commission:
