Is it just me?

Is it just me or do other people find house insurance so complicated, they as question that I’m not really qualified to answer as I believe that a lot of the question are for specialist, This has put me off changing my insurer for around 5 years.

These were questions asked was through a price comparison site.
It’s nice to be important but it’s more important to be nice.

    Not really, whats complicated?

You get the cheap ones that you dont touch with a bargepole and you get
expensive ones that cover everything then you get the middle ground
    that suits most people.

Unless your situation is complicated, house unattended for long periods or
non family members using the property or very high value contents in a risky area.

Not I don't find it complicated.
It was a bit of effort to work out contents value the first time I did it, but it's not so hard to walk round every room and list major categories.

What sort of questions do you mean?

The only two "difficult" questions are the rebuild value and date of construction and the later you can take off of your former policy as obviously that doesnt change.

Outside of that its a case of just keeping lists of your "valuables" (for me, anything over £200) through the year and an occasional check on older values movements.

Now Home is a much more complex product than Motor with much greater difference in coverages between different policies but that is a case of reading rather than answering questions
