In the midst of redoing our bedroom , looking to do it calming and relaxing in colour
We like a purple of some sort , and i am thinking a matt `flat` paint , as i have read these are the softest , we dont want shine or sheen?
Any tips welcome , including what paints to avoid
Cheers

Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.

I read that light won't bounce off a matt wall, so is better for a nice toned down room.
We're currently doing our master bedroom; there was woodchip on the ceiling, cemented by 40 years of nicotine stains! Ceiling is now white and as of this evening the walls will be (matt) dark red!
I love Pintrest for ideas, one place to store them all, and get loads of inspiration and tips.

We love Farrow and Ball colours but its expensive, our decorator (grandson) took the catalogue numbers to a local shop that mixed paint and they made it up much cheaper... we used one colour called Mouses back, and a much lighter similar one for our living room , we used the dark one on the chimney breast and it came it like a smoky grey/lilac, everyone comments on how nice it is.. and its matt too.

We have a pale blue colour in our bedroom, which is south facing and looks over a river (love the ripple reflections on the ceiling)
Dulux matt. Cannot remember the name of the colour though0 -

Mouses back, bit of a safe choice, should have gone for elephants breath or dead salmon.0 -
