reclaim bank charges

Hi everyone - hoping for some advice....I've seen you can now try to claim bank charges if you are suffering from financial hardship?

basically i have 14 months old twins, and for about a year we have really been struggling with money. In fact we have consistently ended up over our overdraft limit and as such been given lots of charges (think on average about £100 a month). I'm not sure which months and how much exactly. Can anyone advise how I can try to reclaim any money? i bank with halifax...

any help would be greatly appreciated

you need to show you are currently in financial hardship, which means you don't have any DD's for luxury items [mobile phones, sky etc] ging out and that you are in a cycle of overdraft/black etc....
Do not use words like unfair etc, because they will reject it.
The sample letters may help. I wouldn't bother detailing the charges in the letter, just ask the bank to consider your request..
