Best time to apply?

Hi guys,

I've currently got a car on lease, and on my Equifax it has a start date of 14/08/2013 and a term of 36 months, all correct.

However, when my lease is coming to an end, when would be the best time to apply for finance or another lease? Do I need to wait for the lease to show as settled on my profile, or if I were to sort out a car a few weeks before I hand my current one back, would it be taken into consideration that I'd made my last payment on my existing lease agreement when applying?

I guess it is usual with leases that people end up applying for new finance before the existing finance is repaid.
As long as it shows all payments being up to date on your credit file then I wouldn't worry about applying a couple of weeks before you finish the current lease.
