Hitachi 40" Lip Sync

Morning all,

I bought a Hitachi 40" TV from Argos in 2012. 3 years it's been a good servant but now it has the worst lip syncing issues. Within 15 minute of beginning watching, the sound is inevitably out of time and makes shows nearly unwatchable. I don't have the receipt.

Do I have any rights to say that the TV should not have gone wrong within 3 years of purchase? Would I have a leg to stand on going back to Argos?

Could it be anything to do with what I'm watching? Just standard free view currently. All channels are the same. Any help or advice would be very grateful.

Also try plugging something into the TV. A freeview box, DVD player etc, to see if you have the lipsync issues on these.

You can get lip synch problems if the signal is poor, if it has just started, then the signal may be being affected by the high pressure system over and close to the UK, and may cause problems on some channels more than others.

Also have a look in your manual as some TVs have adjustment for lipsynch.
