Hi Folks
I have massive problem with Sky,and do not know how to tackle it.
My contract is ending soon , so on 11.06 I called them, asked what they could offer me if I was consider staying with them for another year ( broadband, Tv and phone).Because their offer was too expensive, I told them I need to consult with my husband first, and I would not be making decision now. Asked to call me back on 12.06 at specific time, and there and them I would tell them what our decision was.
on 12.06 they tried to call me ,but I wasn't at home.they left no msg.
today I have looked at my emails, and to my surprise noticed email from Sky confirming changes to my account to a deal I did not agree to, and bound me with extra charges and new contract for next 12 months!
I called complaints team today, explained situation and demanded immediate change as changes on the account have been done wiothout my knowledge and permission. I also asked them ( which will cost ME £10 ) to provide transcript from phonecall from 12.06 , as they allege when they called me back I have confirmed the deal, where in actual fact I haven't even picked the phone as I was not there.
they tried to fob me off that providing transcript will take 7 days or longer. I still requested it.
Can anyone give me some advice how to tackle it as I never came across so appalling practise from anyone. Thanks

Yep, this sounds typical of these scoundrels. You could send a letter recorded delivery stating the facts and that if they don't refund the £10 and cancel the contract you will take the matter to the small claims court. Give them a fair amount of time to respond, say 10 working days. You will win if it goes to court and they will have a CCJ against their name.“Learn from the mistakes of others. You can never live long enough to make them all yourself.”
