'have to' renew tenancy
Comments
-
Thanks everyone.
The tenancy agreement states '£..... to be paid quarterly' but also includes the clause:
' it has been agreed that either party may give 2 months written notice to terminate this agreement, provided that an intial 4 months has already been served'.
So does that mean notice is 2 months rather than 3?
Also, if it makes any difference, LL has asked us to pay monthly from the next payment.
Thank youNovember GC- £322.43/£300. Dec - £364/£4000 -

Of course it makes a difference. Its a fundamental term of the new contract
How are you going to 'renew' unless you see the new terms that the LL is proposing?
Sorry, I was purely talking about giving notice.
As stated, we don't want to sign a new contract.
The LL didn't mention a renewal, just paying monthly, I've no idea if this is possible without signing a new contract.November GC- £322.43/£300. Dec - £364/£4000 -
oh sorry, I didn't realise I needed any.
Let me edit my inflammatory outburst....
No need.
It is widely accepted thata vast majority of people have at some point or another lied. Certainly enough people to constitute a 'majority of'.
By that virtue, the majority of agents will have lied. Ergo most agents are liars.

It was a bit rich considering mrginge has taken umbrage with other posters (me) quantifying their experiences with letting agents and landlords before. :rotfl:0
