Vodafone have taken promised refund

Options
I have spoken to 10 people today dealing with the same complaint!
I want to unlock my Mifi as it is tied to Vodafone. I was told on Saturday this is no problem. Just fill in a form and pay £20.

At 8am this morning I get an email saying it can't be done as I haven't been with Vodafone for over 30 days( I've been with them for two years..). So I call customer services and get told it can't be done so I ask for a refund, which I am told will be sorted as the unlocking can't happen .

I just checked my Vodafone account and have found £19.98 taken(the cost to unlock) and I get an email saying it will now take 10 working days as opposed to the 7 promised. As they had told me they couldn't do it, I bought another code to do it.

I just want my money back and Vodafone are going out of their way not to help

A bit unfortunate, but I'm not seeing what is wrong here?

Just sounds like you've paid, they've made you aware that you weren't eligible and they've promised a refund [with]in 10 working days. If that is the case then they haven't "taken the promised refund", they have 'taken the original payment and promised refund'. Also, 10 working days is about the time it will take to process a refund. Unfortunately that is just how companies work.

Unless there's something I've missed, you'll just have to sit tight and wait until the 10 working days is up (and then hassle them further).
