'Reasonable' time to repair a coffee machine

Same direction .
SOGA as pointed out on this thread .
This is against the vendor whoever it actually is and is UK based .
Basically as its over 6 months old your claim of faulty would need to be verified by an independent engineers report.
A letter written and posted to manufacturers head office headed Complaint is what i would also be trying .0 -
The problem is a "reasonable" amount of time isn't defined and is up to a court to decide.
Yes you state it hasn't been working for 10 weeks but they've attempted repairs during this time and I assume this time includes shipping to/from also?
For a consumer coffee machine two weeks wait for a spare part is a pain but I doubt would be seen as "unreasonable".
I'd be looking to write a full complaint to Amazon HQ, outlining what has gone on, and that you are considering SOGA/legal action... a "friendly" letter before action if you will and see if anything comes of that.0 -
Problem with SOGA is you have to prove the fault inherent0
