P.S. For clarity Graham Rowan who is referred to in that article runs the "Elite Investors Club" whose promotion the OP was asking about.0 -
I was recently contacted by a company called Select Portfolio in Bournemouth, who are marketing some of these Care Homes and were trying to sell them to me.
The Independent article and this website were quite helpful, thanks! :-)0 -
I fear i may have been drawn into this scam and have posted elsewhere about this, re Clifton Moor Care home/MBI/Northern Powerhouse Developments, have asked the company for my money back as they now say that once (if ever) Clifton Moor is built it will then be sold as the CQC requirements for care home rooms have now made the home non-viable! Ive been told i can 'divest' into a hotel room but really just want my money back - this is a lot of money for me and they have just said No!
Im keen to speak to anyone else who invested so we can compare notes!!!0 -
Always seems to be a bad outcome with these schemes doesnt there lolThe instructions on the box said 'Requires Windows 7 or better'. So I installed LINUX

Yields reflect the risk. Why cant this business raise finance from the banks for less than 12% when the base rate is 0.5%.
That says it all with these schemes really doesn't it.
Just think of that and no need to waste time (let alone money  )

You need to be wary but some businesses are prepared to raise money at huge cost.
The latest p2p loan at Ablrate is offering 14% interest, but the documents state it's actually costing them around 25% with fees and intermediaries.
It's obviously risky but supposedly secured on assets.0 -
HI!
I was also a semi-victim of Northern Powerhouse Developments as i gave the deposit of the 1000 pounds to secure my place of buying a hotel room and fortunately last minute i understood how this system works and how much highly dangerous for our money is, so i backed! Now i am asking for my refundable as they said deposit but still no answer.
