hi all, i have the chance of voluntary redundancy of 13000 with 5200 as well for sevarence pay i only have 4 months left on my iva, finishes in october my question is if i take redundancy can i ask for so many months leway for wages im on about 1600 net a month and whats left with my redundancy can i offer a final offer but not the full amount to my creditors originally i owed 21000 have paid 11200 any views anyone before i ring my company up

How much are you due to pay back over the remaining 3-4 months of the IVA if you don't take voluntary redundancy? I'm guessing - from what you have paid in so far - another £800, perhaps?


When you speak to your IVA company, bear in mind that they cannot force you to accept the offer of voluntary redundancy. If you are thinking of taking it, you need them to be clear on what they will expect as a lump sum out of the package. You should definitely be arguing that you should keep at least some of the payout, otherwise there is no real incentive for you to accept it.


How long is the redundancy offer on the table for?
