Decent popup blocker?

I keep getting those "referral" popups, and have downloaded a popup blocker but it doesn't seem to be working as they come up in a new window! I've been getting the same kind of emails from them too, will run adaware and my spyware later, but can anyone recommend a good popup blocker?

I use either FireFox or Opera as a browser, both have pop upblockers and I do not have an issue.
Have you considered swapping browsers?0 -

I'd say IE7's pop up blocker is just as good as well, I've never have a problem with it and it's no worse than Firefox which I'd used for years. It sounds like a possible adware problem. Maybe worth going through the malware removal guide sticky."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

I use firefox, have an issue with IE that I can't seem to get resolved. The javascript's !!!!!!ed on it, and it's probably something to do with a trojan I had on it a while back. Have tried everything to get it working again to no avail.
Will try running adaware later and hopefully that'll help, and will look at the malware removal guide."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

Does sound like your pc could do with a thorough clean. Once that's done, nothing to stop you asking for help with the javascript problem at some stage (if it doesn't get fixed with the malware removal procedures)."She is quite the oddball. It's been like that for ages now, I doubt anything short of a system restore will fix it

I would suggest getting Firefox...
The old IE sucks, the new IE sucks too (IMHO).... Firefox is cool, especially with Foxmarks which sync's my bookmarks on my home, work and parents computer (plus access anywhere with web access).

I think you missed the post about the OP already using Firefox so obviously that isn't the problem.I would suggest getting Firefox...
I've personally never had a problem with IE7 and I've been using it since it's original release. Before that I used firefox since it's beta stages, so I think I've got a broad enough experience. I currently use IE7 as my default just for convenience of compatibility but I do have FF and opera installed as well."She is quite the oddball.
