In true money saving style I stopped using soap two years ago. It also has the added benefit that I haven't had to buy women drinks in the same period.

    LOL...

Seriously though using that cheapo stuff people give you in those xmas gift sets arent to bad really. soaps soap at the end of the day and when I shower it all goes down the plug hole. I am no longer going to spend money on fancy packaging. Since I have worked at tesco I have noticed that there are some savvy people out there.

They seem to buy all nice peices of meat and sauces and other things I think I cant afford but they also seem to buy a lot of the tesco economy stuff.
Tesco do a 500ml shower gel for 16p Im sure it doesnt smell as nice as Lynx but at over a quids difference buy some decent body spray!

That should really cut down on the need to 'bulk buy'. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Shame about the implications to your sex-life, though.

  • I bulk buy if it is on bogof and something I buy regularly anyway like shampoo, deodorant etc. My freezer is full of Frubes at the moment as I give them all one in their packed lunch and the Dr Who ones were on bogog for ages. I had to tell the kids to stop me buying any more, as it became a bit of an obsession. I was thinking of buying a bigger freezer to store them and all the other bogof bargains (half price chicken breast, who could only buy one!) but decided against it. :rotfl: The kids were laughing at me recently too as there was so much deodorant, shampoo and conditoner in the bathroom, rows and rows of it! But it was all half price!

  • I do this, yesterday I got 5 cans of Right Guard for 59p a can. I bulk buy on anything we will need that will keep.

    Loo roll
    Washing powder
Kitchen Roll - buy value stuff
    Dishwasher tablets
    Coffee
    Tea
    Cereal
Tins - Although I had to chuck out 6 cans of Slim-Fast the other day as it had gone out of date.
    Shampoo/Conditoner
    Shower Gel/Bubble Bath
    Suncream

Etc, so although I am clean, my diet has not been too successful latley!!
A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.

Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.

The Tesco Value hair conditioner (500ml for about 30p) is fab! I use it not only on my hair but instead of shave gel for shaving my legs. Leaves them silky soft and generally don't need body lotion afterwards.

I too stock up on Avon shampoos and conditioners when they're on offer. I recently gave up my Costco membership (30 pounds for renewal) since my parents get membership for another cash and carry (bad I know but saves me the membership money!).
CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J
