Hi everyone
Great site reminds me of a few we have here in Canada.
Anyways Im flying in with a friend and going to visits some friends in London, they told me they live near Harley Street. I have been reading the site to get some tips, and saw the GEX but that price seems a little hefty and was looking at the Southern Train but I have no clue where to get on or off.
Its a surprise visit thats why im not asking the friends and Im bugging all of you.

Hi there,
I'd suggest taking the £10 train (the First Capital Connect that the kind poster above has listed) to King's Cross Thameslink then turning out of the station and turning right, walking for 5-10 mins to King's Cross underground station and, from there, you can take any number of tube lines to get near Harley Street.
See http://www.theharleystreetclinic.com/Map.asp for a map of the tube stations that surround Harley Street (almost all the stations on that map can be reached without changing lines from King's Cross).
Also see www.thetube.com Travel Planner which will help you plan future journeys around London. What goes around - comes around

The Southern train goes from London Gatwick to Victoria station in London - just like the GEX. It takes a few minutes longer and is considerably cheaper.
Harley Street is between tube stations - Oxford Circus is the nearest with a direct service from Victoria. Regents Park (change at Oxford Circus) is a little nearer - though it depends which end of Harley Street. A taxi may be simpler if you don't know where you are going and given tube fare in London, not overly expensive.0 -

That's just around the corner from me in New Cavendish Street.
If you'd like to save even more cash, you can take the Southern train to Victoria for £8.90; http://www.southernrailway.com/main.php?page_id=93
Since I'm not sure of which end of Harley Street, you will have to decide which Tube station is best for you. If you don't like dusty underground environments, you can take a bus from Victoria.0 -
If you are going to go to Kings x thameslink you can catch the 205 or 30 bus which stops directly outside the train station. It runs directly along Euston Road which turns into Marylebone Road. Check a map but I think you get off soon after you pass Regents Park tube station. You will need to buy a bus ticket before you get on the bus, you get it from the machine at the bus stop, £2, best to have 2 one pound coins ready.
