NHS Redundancy

Hi, need advice for my Mum 72 years old and NHS worker for 50+ years. She was made redundant from one trust (7.50 hours PW) in May 2013 and took the money, she has since found out she is to be made redundant from her full time position this year from a different trust. My question is she thinks the RCN have told her some time ago that she cant claim two lots of redundancy payments from NHS. Is this correct even though the two posts were with different trusts within the NHS, different hours of work and over 12 months since she took it. The current job was not classed as alternative employment. Thanks for any help as what the RCN say doesnt ring right with me..

she can, but her reckonable service/time served for the redundancy calculation will not include any years that were taken into account in any previous redundancy package. all the information on how it is calculated, minimum service is in the agenda for change handbook (google - it is available online).:AA/give up smoking (done)0

Also if previously she had taken pension that should have put a break in service for redundancy.0

Thanks for reply, when she was redundant from 7.50 hour post the redundancy was only to recompense for them hours and the 20 years she worked for them. The other post she has worked 30 years in that trust, she hasnt taken her pension entitlements as yet and still pays into the scheme.0

It was probably a mistake taking the redundancy money from the part time job.
There may still be the previous years prior to starting the part time post if they were not included at that time(they should have been)
this seems to sumarise and references to the A4C 16 forthe other details.
