how do you "clear recently accessed documents

just changed to xp.. previously 2000 professional

one of the things i used to do was ....
right click and get "taskbar & menu properties ... click "advanced" then there was a click for " clear recently accesswd documents "

on xp i've found "taskbar & start menu properties .. but not how to clear docs.

Can anyone advise please ??

Should be here ->

Right click on Start Menu and choose Properties (To get Start Menu and Taskbar Properties)
Click the Customise button
Click on the Advanced Tab
There is a Recent Documents section at the bottom with a Clear List Button

when i get to "advanced" it opens a window called "customize notifications " with a list of "current items" and "past items" with headings "name & behaviour"
no sign of "recent documents" ???

I think you may have just missed a tab

When you right click on the Taskbar and choose 'Properties' you (should) get a Window with two tabs at the top, 'Taskbar' and 'Start Menu'. Are you in Start Menu when you click customise? (or do you get these at all?)
