M&S PPI -change Storecard to Credit Card and added PPI

I am new to posting on the forum but I have been using it quite a while.
I applied for PPI refund on my M&S storecard and was rejected however I know that they changed my storecard to a m&s credit card without me applying for it they also transferred my PPI onto my credit card (without me asking them to do so) I did not sign an agreement with them when they changed my storecard to credit card. My question is - because I did not sign anything and they automatically transferred me onto a credit card, can I claim for PPI from when I was given a credit card? Many thanks
