Architectural Services for extension

Initial Consultation to go through requirements and assess the feasibility of ideas, Carrying out a survey of the property, producing drawings and then submitting the applications for planning (if required) and building regulations/drawings for builders' quotes will be in the region of £800-£1300 total. Extension will be 1 storey, 8x3m, brick, black shingles roof, with one open plan kitchen/dining room, 2 2-panes windows and 1 door.

So do you think it is a fair quote and if no what other questions I need to ask to the service providers. Thanks.

    If I recall correctly, the standard formula for planning and building drawings fees was 3% of the construction cost.

    I reckon your build cost will be circa £30k so fees circa £900.

    So quote range is reasonable
