    Oh that's good to know.

Having not heard anything from this pending decision I'm assuming it's declined.

I'm going to try and do public transport for 12 months save some money and see if my credit report improves. It annoys me that I know people who don't even work and have new cars.

    Thanks everyone

Although your mum no longer wants to be the lessee, would she mind being a guarantor? Sometimes that can help things if the credit check is borderline. Since you are now up together, your mum shouldn't have anything to worry about.

How does that work? Would it still be on her credit file as a debt of 14k?

    Appreciate all of your info

    Thanks

Just spoke with Seat, they received a cal saying the finance company require further information, the guy said as I was worried he wasn't sure if he should continue the application as he hasn't had anything like this before... I'm a little worried if I should continue, I said I'd let them know but in the meantime they were going to ask the company what else they needed from me.

Has anyone had this before or does this mea its a decline.

    Thanks in advance.

they've now added a notice to the file saying it was completed and removed in 2012 but the scores are still low?

Who has added a notice to your file? If YOU have not specifically requested a Notice of Correction be put on your account, then it shouldn't be there and you should ask for it to be removed.

A NOC stating you've *had* an IVA, regardless of when it was completed and should have been removed, will ring alarm bells for finance companies as a file with a NOC will need manual review.

If the IVA has been removed, it doesn't matter when it was completed - get the NOC taken off and the file will not show any details of your previous arrangement - and if there are no defaulted accounts still showing then you'll be in a far better position then with that NOC there telling all and sundry that you once had credit problems but it's all OK now.

Thank you. I'm going to contact them tomorrow and get this removed. I've no defaults and I'm Al upto date in my accounts and have never missed it had late payments in either my bank or credit card.

    I appreciate your advice.

    Thanks

They will do nothing without a written request. Don't bother emailing them, just write to them and tell them to remove it.

I presume you have checked all three CRAs and the NOC is only present on... let me guess... Equifax?

To the OP. Is there any reference to the IVA on your credit file? If there wasn't, then what BeenThroughitAll says is probably correct. If there is an entry for it then having the NOC would probably be a good thing. If it's not then it might attract unwanted attention.

The reference you refer to May be the code of letters of who applied the correction that's all I can see. It stays when it was completed.

Equifax did email last week and said it had been removed but the correction notice is still visible.

    Thanks again
