Are you an Emirates-Skywards member? Read this!

Having flown with Emirates to Australia in June, I have accrued over 30000 skywards miles. This would normally only be around 21000 miles but they offer a 50% bonus for booking online and 3000 miles if its your first time with emirates.

Anyway, they currently have a half price rewards sale. Meaning that for just 20000 miles you can get a return flight to Dubai in economy. I had a look at booking in Business Class which is 40000 miles and would have needed to pay about £100 to buy the 9000 or so miles to make up the difference.

They do have other destinations available as well.

Girlfriend and I have now booked up to go in October. So anyone out there with skywards miles, get on to their website for a bargain.

Cant believe one economy flight to Oz gets us a return flight to Dubai for free!:T

    Can you link me??

Can only see an offer for an extra 10% bonus!?!
  • Follow this link to get access to the 50% off rewards flights.

The 10% is the reduction you would normally get for booking reward flights online but cannot be used in conjunction with the 50% off offer.

Dates are outward journey between 11th Sept and 11th Oct...for anyone who's not aware.

20K BHX to Dubai, 25K Dubai to Bejing.....try and book them together online and it's 108,000....so you'd have to ring them on the Skywards number.

If you need to purchase additional miles, it's 2.5 US cents per mile, maximum 25K per year.
  • Yes, you can only get a direct flight from the UK, Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, Birmingham & London. You can then connect in dubai to quite a few nice places. The Seychelles for 17500 looked tempting!

Don't forget about Ramadan if you want to stay in Dubai as well...one reason for the special offer ...13th Sept til 11th Oct...nearly the exact dates of the promotion.

You are wrong. First of all, you have to book online to get the discount and secondly, you're wrong about the journey being 108,000 miles if booked online.
    It would be 45,000.

For example, you can fly London-Perth by combining London-Dubai and Dubai-Perth Global Reduced Rewards to fly for 55,000 Miles in Economy Class.

If you try to book via the operator you will be charged the full mileage.

Here you go Donnie. Get me the deal for 45,000 and I'll get you a drink. When the 2 legs aren't joined up, you need to ring up Skywards Manchester and they do it for you, although it's an online deal. I did it last year.

Could it be that you need to book BHX to DXB(return) and DXB to PEK(return) seperately?

The mistake you are making is trying to book the flight as one.

How do I collect my drink?
