I have replaced all of our lighting with LED. I have to say the best bulbs I have found so far are from TP24.

I first picked up their long-body GU10 50mm spots to replace some CFLs in the bathroom IP65 down-lighters. They are 3W and warm white with a much better light than the CFLs at 25% energy consumption.

They also sell short-body GU10s which I assume are equally good but as I have other GU10s I am not about to shell out on replacements just for a slightly better light quality.

I then tried their MR11 12V version and they are equally impressive, so much so that I replaced other LEDs. They work with AC transformers without any noticeable flicker (for me) but that could be the transformer not the lights because I have other 12V LEDs which do not suffer flicker in our house whereas the same bulb used in my daughter's lights does flicker, hmm...

Anyway, I changed all of the 12V MR11s, even those where I had old LEDs as the colour and light quality was not what I wanted and am really impressed. They are 3.5W each and look cool as they are all glass like a halogen bulb. Saving per light fitting - about 170W!

I decided to change the transformers for LED drivers because the transformers draw 5W or so in losses but to be honest the light quality is the same - no flicker before; none after in my nice old German (quality) lighting.
