The loan is to purchase a boat. Not for a business.

My credit is good, but I've just been refused due to (which I'm sure) is because I'm not on the electoral. I don't want to ask my friends to use there address, they're already helping me out enough.

Next question, who can lend me 15k? :) Thanks for all your advice.

Can you get boat finance that's similar to car finance, where the finance is secured on the boat rather than being unsecured lending?

Being refused a £15k loan could also come down to affordability rather than credit history.

What possible objection can your friends have to you putting your name on the electoral roll? Once you move, you simply switch it again.
You are not going to be able to get credit anyway without having a fixed abode.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
