If a DVD player has begun to not be able to recognize (load) discs but the starup screen with the manufacturer logo comes on as usual and otherwise the device seems fine, is there any fix for this problem? Could it be that it somehow jumped to a different region setting (it was multiregion out of the box before).

It may simply need cleaning or the laser may have expired. You can get cleaning disks for a few quid. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

And buy a new DVD player for under £20 if that doesn't sort it.0
