You'd have room for a decent sized shower if you put in a combination loo/basin.

Have you ever actually used one, I had the misfortune of using one just the other night, as far as I'm concerned they are beyond ridiculous, who in their right mind expects someone to straddle a toilet so they can wash their hands :o

I think they are mainly just to get around the regs, that you need a sink in a toilet.

The shower and the toilet are what counts.

Doozergirl has actually bothered to carefully read your first post - I obviously hadn't. If it is being done to sell, she's 110% (aaargh) right.... leave it. There's NO point in a substandard arrangement for selling, partly as you won't recoup your costs, partly as you have no certainty who will buy.

Make sure loo and sink are spotless if the house is in good shape... replacing can cost peanuts and does help a sale. Otherwise, just leave it be.

I must ask, Doozergirl, why are bi-fold doors "horrid"? My main experience of one is from childhood, so I was (slightly) smaller, but I had a sort-of ensuite with one, and it was fine.

Sadly, I know some people locally(ish) that'd say all you need is a shower.....

Thank you everyone, I've decided that I will keep it as it is and with the few hundred quid I'm saving by not changing it, I can spend this on making the downstairs kitchen extension and new bathroom even nicer
