Lloyds comparative redress (alternative redress)

Comparative Redress, not "alternative"0

In the end, I believe the FCA told Lloyds to revisit these cases. That is why they did so without a request from the OP.
I realise the OP took the DIY route for this. For those who used a CMC, they should note that the Claims Regulator has indicated that the CMC is NOT entitled to a payment in respect of the further redress. This is because the award of the extra redress was made AFTER the contract between the consumer and the CMC was concluded. In fact, the Claims Regulator has gone so far as to suggest it may amount to a criminal offence under the Fraud Act 2006.
If you are in that situation and the CMC tries to obtain further payment, you should complain to it and, if necessary, to the Legal Ombudsman.0 -
Thanks, but I didn't use a claims management company.
Every penny that I've now claimed has been from Lloyds contacting me direct and now every penny plus interest has been reclaimed by myself.

Which is exactly what magpiecottage said
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

I think Magpie is just sounding a general warning to those who have been pressured for extra payment by CMCs. Which is plenty.0
