Will my fiancees credit rating impact mine

I think that is what I am going to do. Just need to speak to the fiancee first!!!0

Try the dissociation on the CRA website first. No point cancelling the card if you don't need to.
What you have isn't a joint account or joint borrowing, it's a sole account & your partner cannot access it in any way. It's YOURS.SPC 8 (2015) #485 TOTAL: £334.65
SPC 9 (2016) #485 TOTAL £84
SPC 10 (2017) # 485 TOTAL: £464.80
SPC 11 (2018) #4850 -
I think I need to close the card before I can disassociate our files according to the CRA website. I only got the card to keep the spending in one place and to get a few reward vouchers. Seeing as it is likely to cause us more problems in the long run than it solves I will just have to use another card in my name only and bin off this one.0

When you close it make sure you tell them why you're doing so (not that they'll give a monkeys).0 -
I am surprised and annoyed they have created the association between our credit files. I was listening to Martin Lewis on a 5 live consumer team show just two days ago (it was a podcast from a few months ago that I had not got around to yet) and he actually discussed this point and said it was joint accounts and mortgages that create the association.
Point 7 of this MSE article also says that credit cards shouldn’t create a financial link:
www.moneysavingexpert.com/loans/credit-rating-credit-score?&_ga=1.28900284.1431643695.1421326736#boost
"There are currently only four products that can infer financial linking - a joint mortgage, a joint loan, a joint bank account (not savings as they don't go on credit files), and in certain circumstances, your energy bills."
"It's worth noting that while many people think they have a "joint" credit card, these technically don't exist. It's one person's account, the other just has a second card to access it."

My credit file certainly contradicts that article so it needs to be updated. I have been associated to my fiancee for having her issued with a second credit card on my credit card account. The file names the card issuer as the company that created the link just recently.
I have now cancelled the card and just waiting for confirmation in the post. I will then request to be disassociated by the three CRA's.
My attempt to simplify our wedding spending has just turned out to be a total pain! Hopefully no harm has been done and I have learnt a valuable lesson that will help us with future borrowing.0
