Hi

I am looking to book flights to Vancouver for two adults return for 3 weeks over the christmas period. Anyone recommend any cheap airlines, discount codes etc.

Thank you

  • Hi,

I think the cheapest airline that goes to Canada is Zoom Airlines

but not sure how cheap they'll be!

I always use Canadian Affair as they can't be beaten on flights to Canada. There are other companies and websites but I've always found them the cheapest by far. I go to Canada every 4-5 weeks as my boyfriend is Canadian. I've just booked my flights for Boxing Day!

    Have fun!

I've just checked zoom, canadian affair and ba for a 3 week period vaguely 10th - 31st of December and BA works out the cheapest at £420. Other nearby dates are more expensive though so it depends how flexible you can be with your dates.

Are you sure that that isn't for one way? I checked with BA before booking and it was well over £800 for the christmas period. BA's website shows the outward price and then the return price seperately.

The cheapest that I can see for Zoom is £447 over the christmas period. That's assuming you want to travel from Gatwick.

We have always found BA cheapest, we travel to canada around the 10th and return christmas eve.
  • Hi

We flew Air Transat, lots of horror stories but they were actually good. They were a couple of hundred cheaper.
Also, what I have done a couple of times is fly to Seattle, can be much cheaper as tax is less. Then you can catch the coach which goes from Seattle to Vancouve centre a number of times a day. Not so bad.

Have fun, I just moved back from Vancouver after 3 years there and I'm starting to miss it!

Our air transat flight we booked through Canadian Affair was fine, and it was the cheapest available at the time we booked it- it worked out cheaper to fly back from a different airport than from Vancouver, for some wierd reason, so we came back from Calgary.

The flights were booked in January fortravel in July and August, but about 6 weeks before we flew I checked them and they had dropped from £1800 to £1200 but only dropped for a day- so try the same site a few days in a row and see if there is any fluctuation.;)

Nope, that total was for return. It showed £210 each way, though most days around the same time were £250 - £350.
