Servicing packages

Hi,
I'm considering getting a new VW Passat. Does anyone know if it's possible to get the servicing cheap/free for a period of time? Is this something VW do?

Cheers...

Are you serious? VW are one of the most expensive for franchised servicing and you should take this into account.

VW do offer some deals on servicing, but I dont think you are likely to get anything on the passat. They were offering free servicing on the Fox a few months back as long as you took their finance package.

They do offer bundles where you pay per month for a servicing package dependant on mileage etc, and they include tyres etc, but you would need to check to see if they were really worth anything.

Re the above post on servicing costs I dont really think VW are that bad compared to anyone else as you can have the cars on varible servicing (likee i do) so they will run for up to 20K / 2 years between services. Factor in that you may be having a service up to half as often and the price isnt that bad, plus less time spent going to the garage!
  • There was a deal on Jetta in quarter 2, but there's been nothing on Passat.

Always check out the manufacturer's own website first as that where basics like this will always be marketed to encourage sales and validation dates for any offers stated.

There are decent servicing packages on BMW at the moment...and Honda.

If you are buying it from an Arnold Clark dealership the AC service packages are very good value.

I have just taken delivery of a new Passat and took the option of servicing, maintenance and tyres.

Costing me around £35 a month for the lot based on 18,000 miles a year. I chose the service interval option of 10,000 miles as I heard they are quite thirsty on oil.

I now have headache free motoring apart from paying for road tax and insurance.
