Scottish Power - leaking meter - appalling customer service

  • All other advice aside, it looks to me like it has become a routine meter replacement, that needs to be arranged through your supplier - Scottish Power. You mention that the company has missed appointments.

    I'd advise you to lodge a complaint if you or the company has not done so on your behalf. That will hopefully get them to resolve the matter in a timely fashion. If however you remain dissatisfied, Ombudsman Services Energy may be able to help resolve any outstanding issue.

    It looks as if the issue has been rectified though as OP has not posted. :)

    If appointments have been missed then the supplier should pay a compensation charge. If they don't tell you about it you are entitled to another payment. I had several from British Gas a few years ago.
