Without getting into any of the debt stuff I know nothing about, this could just be a simple communications problem. Before wasting another second worrying about this pepper33, contact the solicitor to make sure he is aware of your arrangement/payment.

It was the solicitor that has written to me twice confirming that the arrangement is in place. Its mad one is contradicting the other

I was told by Citizens Advice, that in NI bailiffs cannot come and take your property. Only if you are a business and owe to Government such as VAT,Customs people etc.

It costs the creditors money to take you to court, so if you are a pensioner, low income or not working they just won't do it. That is of course if you set up an agreement with them and keep to it.

They cannot take furniture, beds, sofas and chairs, fridges, cookers. It you have a car of course they would grab that.
I don't think they can lift anything, especially if you are in an arrangement. I have found that all our advice places in Northern Ireland, always just advise bankruptcy. no choice

Bailiffs can't - NI doesn't have that sort of private company.
Instead it has government officials with a broadly similar purpose but slightly different remit. They seem more inclined to agree terms than Bailiffs would be, but then Bailiffs are in it for the money.

Depends on the definition. I know someone who makes a living going round the country taking shiny cars off people who can't make the payments so the lenders can auction them. He loves it. He's that sort of man.

    Bailiff, repo man, same result.

Probably a slightly different situation - cars are usually on HP or lease, ownership stays with the seller until it's paid up. They can't just take things you actually own...

Especially if it is jointly owned, which means everything in my home

Do you lose your home for credit card debts, or if you go bankrupt
