Bt/Yahoo have recently changed their email set up. I hate it as I keep loosing emails and find it hard to see what's what.
I want to be able to get my emails another way.
I have a 2nd email address that uses Microsoft Out look. I thought that I could set that up to receive both sets of Emails but it's not letting me.
Any other suggestions please?

you could probably access the mail via pop3/imap, which will give you access from another client, some of the online ones allow you to add this in.
however, another way would be to setup a forward, so the mail is forwarded to another address0 -

On Microsoft Outlook I go to
Tools, account settings, new, click POP3, Next, entre my Name Bt Email address and password and it won't let me go any further.
It wants the password that Bt gave me when I set up the account 14 years ago!
I then get locked out of my online Bt account and have to go through the reset.
I might be doing something wrong. I am with Talktalk but run my Bt email as an add on to my mum's Bt account.. maybe that's the problem.
I hate the new Yahoo set up. I have missed so many emails as they seem to 'hide' some how.
thanks I will look at forwarding my mail or looking at another client.

Microsoft Outlook works fine for me with BT mail, I just let the little wizardy thing set it up.
Whereas trying to get at it via the BT site is a pain!Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0 -

What error message is displayed when Outlook rejects the password that you enter? The required password should be the one that is used by your online BT account (after reset).I hate the new Yahoo set up. I have missed so many emails as they seem to 'hide' some how.
This may be the outcome of "conversation view", which groups related messages from a given conversation together. If this is your current view, then you can switch back to the other view. See if that helps.0 -

BT Yahoo are doing something strange/ incompetent.
Many IMAP emails have disappeared from my local client (both phone and Outlook on my computer have done a lengthy sync which has caused many emails to disappear), even though they are visible in web mail.0
