From memory it took 3 or 4 weeks for Guinness to say we were successful.
3-4 weeks just to find out! Patience isn't my strongest point, guess I'll need to work on it
Hope your application goes smoothly with Nationwide.0 -

I may be wrong there. All the hassle and trauma with the Leeds has fogged my memory.0 -
Hi everyone,
I am glad i found this thread regarding Guinness Housing Shared ownership.
My question is actually in relation to my Mother-in-law. She acquired 70% of her home from Guinness Housing and settled her 25 year mortgage. As she is now in her mid 70's she would like to acquire the remaining 30% share left enabling her to have acquire the freehold of the property. But unfortunately she cannot afford to do so and would like her son to purchase the remaining 30% for her.
Can someone advise on what the best way to do this? Would he need to be added onto the Title Deed before he can purchase the remaining 30% share from Guinness Housing?
Many thanks0
