Had a good day today. I was paid yesterday and have paid 3 installments this morning via internet banking. I am resisting the urge to update my sig everytime I pay a penny off my debt!

Set a budget of £50.00 for food shopping and spent £35.51 today so have put the change in the tub for Ehallets christmas challenge.

I bought some breadsticks to nibble on instead of smoking and found I was holding like a cig without realising. Think I am starting to lose my mind.

Will update in a week or so unless I win the lottery in the meantime! x

Hoping for debts to be sub 45k by the end of the week :j

Daughter has settled in well at school which is a great relief and it is my birthday in 13 days! I still get excited - sad I know.

Im being very good and doing overtime at work tomorrow only an extra 3 hours but it all helps.

And Ive now lost 17 lbs at slimming world, my flu bug really boosted the weight loss it was almost worth being ill x

Wow havent updated this for ages - too busy reading everyone elses!

Have been ploughing away at paying the debts. Have now cleared OH dorothy perkins and almost cleared his Comet as well. DFD now 51 months away.

The savings in nursery fees have been swallowed up in paying someone to look after my horse in the evening (£150.00 pm) and I am seriously considering dropping a day at work for my sanity!

Although it will mean a drop in wages, it will give me more time with the kids, horse, degree and housework which is all getting a bit much at the minute! Oh reckons he will be able to make up the loss of my wages.

Plans for the next few weeks are to get as much of my christmas shopping out the way - pay the minimums on everything between now and christmas and then start overpaying again in Jan.

I have been terrible at updating this - must make that one of my New Year Resolutions!

Anyway have decided to keep this now more as a record of the challenges I have signed up to and my progress as it helps seeing it all in one place and don't want to end up with the worlds biggest signature so here goes:

    Pay off 15k by Dec 2008 - 222.56

    Sealed pot challenge - 0.00

    £2 savers club - 0.00

    Pay a debt a month - 0.00

I will not buy XYZ for a month - 0.00

So a good start then! I want to reduce the days that I work so want to be in a position where I can manage the drop in income. My son needs a new bed but its not desparate so will use the £2 savings for that. I want to clear my Barclaycard by the end of Jan - have been doing loads of overtime to make Decembers pay up. OH has got me a Terramundi for Christmas so that will be my sealed pot.

Think thats all for now - see you next month x x

Nagging is just what I need ZTD by the time I've read everyone elses I can never be bothered with my own. Lunar you can be my conscience to keep coming back to my diary!

Managed to pay off my GE Loan last month as well so thats 1 less creditor!

Have had to defer starting my degree till Sept 08 as we are currently awaiting a diagnosis for my son (for ASD) so don't want to pile too much on my plate at the minute.

I will count all my change and £2 coins so I can at least put a total down later today for some of the challenges - I also need to update the snowball as the paperwork has been piling up and poor snowball has been neglected.

Also going to do my Jan budget later today so I can feel all saintly! x

Hi Lunar - thanks for the reminder.

We got a diagnosis for our son yesterday. He has Autism Spectrum Disorder and we are now having consultations with all and sundry - education, speech therapist, behavioural experts etc so got a lot coming up. Although we were half expecting the diagnosis it is still a bit of a shock when it is said out loud if that makes sense. Still feel a bit lost - I think its fear of the unknown. i have never had any dealings of this and an unsure what to expect.

    On the money side :

I have started my sealed pot - have weighed it and added to it already

Have started my £2 collection BUT

havent yet updated snowball or finished budget - thats my job for the weekend!
