Creation.co.uk/JJB Credit card/Sygma Bank

Hi folks
wondering if anyone knows about these cowboys, received a letter today from Creation.co.uk
regarding my so called JJB Credit Card (the one I don't have??)

something about a reorganisation within Creation.co.uk my so called account has been transferred to SYGMA Bank

I have emailed Creation.co.uk informing them I don't hold such a card and to remove my details etc

also did a search on here, appears there's an old closed thread (52 pages) about Creation.co.uk

Got the same letter a couple of days ago, one for each of the 2 cards I held with them. I closed down the cards 2 years ago.

Will call them too to take me off their system.

I have an interest free debt to creation from a purchase at DFS but not heard of any changes, so I guess this is just a reorganisation and off loading of credit cards not HP agreements

I go one of these too despite having closed down my account last year and receiving written confirmation at the time. Do I need to contact them?

If so, can someone share the contact information as I now can't find the letter.

I keep getting promotional mails telling me about credit card cash advances etc.... despite the fact I defaulted (bankrupt)

Got that letter too - they must need to send it to everyone who would potentially need to contact them under the 6 year rule (copies of statements/any form of PPI or charges reclaim etc).

Wouldn't bother contacting them if you've not had any other mails/statements etc relating to an 'active' account

We had a similar one at work (not finance related) I had to send out thousands of letters to people who have nothing to do with us anymore after offloading of one part.

Complete waste of money IMO for people with closed accounts that haven't raised a query, but I guess there's some form of law or guidance somewhere.

IF someone wanted to raise a query in future regarding reclaiming etc, surely they'd just saerch and find that information... more likely than a letter which they've probably binned by then anyway!

Ive just come across this thread and I also received a notice of assignment from Sygma Bank UK to Creation Financial Services.

Seems a very strange set up because when I checked them out on Companies House I found that they hadnt filed any accounts for the last 10 years, and the ones that had been filed by Sygma Banque up to 2005 incorporated all of its european branch accounts

It also seems very odd that Sygma Bank UK are authorised and regulated by France and do not appear to be validly authorised by UK to conduct consumer credit activity within the UK

Can anyone throw any light on this?
