Fossman I think your Halifax adviser has probably done better than the telephone people and my branch.

If I had waited until maturity I could have then set up a new Kids Regular Saver without losing any interest, and transferred the maturing fund into the Young Saver (from wherever they had put it).

Of course this is hindsight.

spoke to a colleague today and they said that you can put the save4it on the form and send it off but you will need to do this each year as the save4it wont be on the same profile as the regular saver (as these are in the childrens name and save4its are in trust for the child so are on the parents profile)

If you have a young saver which is on the same profile it can be linked quickly at branch then you wont need to tell halifax again as it automatically sweeps across, so it looks like the regular saver T&C have changed again to automatic sweep which makes it less of a queue in the branch just to empty old regular savers, to start again...
