house just gone on the market

Good evening everyone,
We have just put our house back on the market, We toke it off so we could save a bit more and do a bit of work to the house to make it seem for attractive that's all sorted now but it's time to move we need the extra space.
We cant get a new mortgage until November as my hubby has only been self employed 7 months so if we sell our house before then we are going to live with his mum.
What can we do to promote our house outside the estate agent? Or do we just sit and wait?
This is the first house we will be selling is there any advice you can give us please,
