Cancelling Xbox Live?

A relative asked us about five years ago to pay his Xbox live account from our bank as he didn't have a bank account at the time.
We did so and he's paid us back never missing a payment and everything is fine - except that he hasn't had an Xbox in at least three years and it's a complete waste of his money. Every now and then we'd mention that it was still coming out of his other money and he should cancel it and he's vaguely agreed to sort it, but it never happened.
Now he admits he has forgotten his details and can't even ring them to cancel. I've looked in the standing order and direct debits on our bank but there's nothing there to cancel?
What sort of payment is this and can I do anything to cancel it on our end?
Thanks

its a debit card transaction, or recurring payment, contact your bank and they will have the details to cancel it :-)I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Banking & Borrowing, and Reduce Debt & Boost Income boards. You need to log into the Microsoft account and cancel the membership, then delete all payments options on file,i'd cancelled and the cheeky f++kers kept taking payment until I deleted card details.Official MR B fan club, dont go............................0

You can talk to someone on the Live account webchat. They will locate the account eventually.
My son set up an account and didn't use it for months. I had no idea it was still taking money through paypal.
I managed to get the money refunded to me as I said they weren't authorised! (they weren't ....I had no idea he had set it up!)
They will carry on taking payments until you delete all the details as ess0two says.
Good luck!0 -
