My OH has just bought a Toyota Rav 4

I was trying to set up her phone on it.

I looked in the handbook it said press off hook dialing (I presume on steering wheel) then move Audio knob to system set up which I did I looked to see if there were any phones listed in 'list phone' and it had previous owners phone so pressed delete.

Then I started again pressing off hook dialing the audio it said 'pair phone' I pressed then recorded her name then pressed to confirm then it said car M media then asked for a passkey.

What does this all mean?

I now can not get back to system set up - can anyone please help?

How would I enter the passcode - I hav'nt put one in - what do I press - nothing happens if I press radio numbers

  • Sure you don't enter the pass code on the phones keypad?

The pass key is usually something like 0000 for Bluetooth pairing.

Bluetooth on phone search for device?

When it finds the car you may need to enter 0000.

I think it's told you what the passkey is. Try using the phone menu to search for the car and pair it that way. You probably have to put the car in set up mode to make it visible.

Thank you for all your replies - yes it has told me the car code

I think I have now solved this as this stage is the final to registering the phone I think I have to put the 0000 into the phone for it to answer the bluetooth in the car.

    Thank you
