How do I get a P60, I changed jobs 1st April

As above, I need to get a P60 for a mortgage application.
I left my previous employment on 31st March, but was still on their books until 4th April.
I started my new job on 1st April, but they didn't put me on their books until sometime after 5th April.
Neither company seem to want to help me. What do I do?

You should have received a P45 from your previous employer showing your income for the financial year 2014/15 and the date you left.
If your new employer has only started paying you after 5th April then you will have no 2014/15 income from them and therefore no P60 from themJohn0 -
Thanks John, I was paid from the 1st April, i.e I had a full month's salary in April.
I do have a P45 from my previous employer, I will send this instead.0
