Getting rid of old shed

I've a really old shed in my garden that I've broken down into panels. But even the smallest panels are too big to fit into my car to take to the dump. Short of spending ages cutting it all down to size with a saw, whats the easiest/cheapest/quickest way to get rid of all the wood?

Advertise it on freecycle/gumtree/etc as "free wood"? It's worth a go as it's [a] free not inside your house so you're not opening your home to all and sundry.0

Lots of people are looking for wood to burn these days.“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0

My old shed is so rotten it's going to collapse before long. I did work out how long it would take to get rid of at one wheelie bin load per fortnight. I can't remember, but it was quite a long while....0

I think the council will come out and lift it. I called them about an old sofa once, and later to collect a bed. They charged £5 for it though.0

As a hard core money saver, I'm horrified every year by the amount of fire wood wasted over the summer. At least in the good old days of tyre mountains, the fuel used was not really suitable for household use, unless you can tolerate rubber smoke in your living room.“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0

I was just saying the very same thing yesterday. The amount of fuel on those bonfires would keep a good number of houses warm over the summer.
Neither the pallet wood nor tyre mountains are very good for the environment though. There should be a tree planting scheme initiated in the communities to offset all the wood burned.0 -
Call your local scout group?
Bonfires are a traditional Scout activity & so need a steady source of inflammables that work safely with young people & marshmallows. As long as they can get from the road to the structure & back laden with reasonable safety, I think your problem would walk away in a well organised hour!
Were you to add in tea coffee & squash for all participants, I think scout groups would be near-competing to assist...0 -
