Reclaim PPI from littlewoods

Hi,

Looking for some advice I had a littlewoods account in early 2011 I am almost sure there was PPI on the account as well as all the unfair charges I have heard off. I logged onto my online account to get my statements up and see if I had being paying PPI and any charges I had encountered. When I came to my account there was no history available at all, I emailed customer support and asked if I could be sent them and why I couldn't see them No response to why I couldn't see them but I was told it would cost me £5.00 PER STATEMENT Surely this cannot be right? Has anyone had any dealings with them claiming PPI and Charges back? how do I go about it from here as I have no statements I can check?

Thanks,
Jack

You can send them a SAR and £10 to see what they have left.

  • I am about to put a freedom of information request into Littlewoods on behalf of my girlfriend to look for old PPI charges. Please can you tell me exactly what I should be asking for, is it statement or charges? Thanks

You can only put in a Freedom of Information request to Public Organisations e.g. Govt. departments, local authorities etc. and it doesn't give access to personal information anyway. Your girlfriend needs to put in an SAR to Littlewoods at a cost of £10 and they will provide any information they hold on her. If it was from a long time ago on a closed account they may have deleted any info - its typically kept for 6 years.
  • Thanks- so I can just put in a request for all information held on her rather than specific aspects of that info.

Just ask for copies on everything they hold on your girlfriend, though no harm in asking for the specific information you require. I take it you have already asked whether there was PPI etc. and drawn a blank.

Don't forget your girlfriend has to be the one making the request
