Money laundering checks

Good Afternoon

We moved out of our home that we sold on Friday to a temporary rented property. We have now had a offer accepted on a house we want to purchase so have instructed solicitors. They of course need to do the money laundering checks.

Now due to moving house very recently we have no proof of current address on anything.

Can I use my old utilities bills as not moved anything over yet?

Thank you

Sounds like a snowball lie in the making, it starts of as a little fib which escalates into something worse later on down the line. Just ask your solicitor, I am pretty sure there will be no problem.

I think they want proof of current address, so I wouldnt use an old bill.

You can normally just go along and registered for council tax at your new place.

Surely it will only take a few days to get someone writing to you at your current address?

just ask you solicitor, it is their answer which matters, not the random thoughts of the internet

Yes I have asked our solicitor just waiting to hear back so was wondering if others had similar problem in the past.

No rental contract as renting from family members. I have posted change of address of council tax so hopefully will send back soon.

    Thanks for advice
