International Tracked & Signed

I sent something to Germany by tracked and signed. The buyer sent a message claiming they had not received them. Tracking showed they have. I contacted Royal Mail who said they had been delivered and the buyer should contact their local postal service. I have uploaded the tracking to the listing and the buyer has not yet opened a case.

However I did not realise till now you could see the full tracking. When I did it says undelivered, office closed but then it was delivered 55 minutes later. So I am confused. Was this delivered or not? Hoping someone with a bit more knowledge or experience can help.

Well it really depends on the address.
It could be the office was closed and they went back around to deliver it.
Is it going to a works address?

When I was a postie, if there was no answer for a signed-for, I would sometimes call back after delivering everything else and try again, especially if I had to pass the address on the way back to the delivery office.

It was a personal address. Have done a Google search and appears that sometimes when German PO scan it back at the sorting office to say undelivered, it sometimes comes up as delivered which is useful.

Tried tracking it on GLS own site?

Thank you! Checked the tracking on their website and the person was not in so it has been taken to a Parcel Shop for them to pick up!

Always worth trying the carrier/local sites. some sites don't 'talk' to each other properly.
