Critical illness cover

I am covered through work for life assurance and critical ilness cover (two separate policies). I've given in my notice (wahoo!) so looking to review them. Just read the life insurance guide so got a quick quote, but can't find anything for critical illness cover. Does it have another name? Or any recommendations for best price/company/website?
Thanks

It is known as critical illness.
You may also want to look at PHI?
Do your research on these unless you go through a broker. Cheapest is not always best - you need to read the conditions covered and also how thorough they are. Standard is ABI definition, but then there is ABI+ which means it goes over and above the minimum... But I think speaking to a broker would be worthwhile.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. This site does not cover all financial products.Or any recommendations for best price/company/website?
That is a regulated activity. So, even those of us in real life who can do that cant answer that question.
CI cover should not be bought on price as the first research filter. All CI providers are different. There is a minimum standard but most go above that but to different levels. Cheap can mean cheap as it doesnt cover as much. Although expensive is no guarantee of quality either. The providers need to be researched on coverage as well as cost.
This site also doesnt mention permanent health insurance (PHI). This is usually in the pecking order above CI as it is more important (although you can have both PHI and CI but if budget is limited, PHI is better).I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
