Saving for my Future

Hi everyone!
I'm new to MSE forums and want to hold myself accountable for my savings as such, and I'm open to any advice anyone would like to give me!
I turned 26 last month. Recently single (as of January).
Was previously renting with my long-term boyfriend and in January, I moved out and found my own privately rented place (as you can imagine, future plans of buying a house together etc. all went up in flames!)
So now there is my kitten and I, privately renting.
I have a permanent job (and always have been in work since I was 16), but I'm currently looking for something with a little more money and closer to family (so I can have a career and buy my first home near my family!)
I have never had any debt/loans apart from one - I have my car on finance (which I have been paying off in chunks). I have payments of £140 p/m until March 2017.
I have a deposit of £32k (which is very slowly growing).
I have 'rainy day' savings of £650.00.
I had more but unfortunately, my upheaval when I moved meant I had to go into them substantially.
I have a lot of clothes to sell on ebay, I am registered for surveys and Quidco and I also do very occasional freelance work (as it's difficult to actually get a job!)
So that's me! If anyone can see how I can improve, please let me know!
Thanks for the welcome and I'll post updates in case anyone is interested on hearing them!

Morning all!
I'm on annual leave today and am filling my day with research and ways to earn more money!
This is how I earn so far:
- Monthly wage for full-time job
- Selling adhoc items on Ebay
- Crowdology surveys
- I-Say Surveys
- Swagbucks
- Nectar Rewards
- Using coupons for shopping wherever possible
- Free postocde lottery (no joy yet!)
I'm skeptical about betting as my main aim is to buy my first home and I know opening these accounts leave a trace on your credit rating.
Is there anything else I can do/am I missing something?
Thanks

Nat21luv, I found the threat you were talking about! not sure I can do it though... as in literally... is £10.00 per day really possible?
So I'm happy to say I'm very close to my £5 amazon voucher thanks to I-Say surveys.
What has everyone found to be a 'quick win' as it were?
Thanks!

Hello well done you! on progress and organisation!!!:money:
DFW is the debt free wannabe thread on MSE forums.
If you also do a search on Aesop's threads (she is a poster and very knowledgeable) and you will find lots of people in a similar situation and the ways they are raising extra money. I can't remember what its called but I am doing this in the summer holidays too as I should have some time!Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
Hi Lala... the DFW Make £10 a day thread is brilliant and you really don't have to do £10 a day. I sign up for about £100 a month and rarely make it... but it's atmosphere and the encouragement and picking up hints and tips and knowing someone will be as pleased as you are when you make any money!Make £520 a year in 2020 so far (£0 cash £0 AGC)

I don't set aside anything for socialising as to be honest, I don't when it involves money! I'm always the designated driver and I'm at the age where I'm lucky enough that going around friends' houses for a BBQ and going to the park with them and their children is my idea of a good timeFTB House Deposit - £28,505.00 / £40,000 - 71.26%

I would suggest that you get on the Old Style board and see how much you could save on your grocery bill, they are a wise bunch of folk up there0
